Space Groove Various Concepts
I just realized I never uploaded my work on Space Groove, but HI! I'm one of two people that pitched this thematic and I was super duper happy to not only see it get made, but of how amazing it actually came out! I've always been very inspired by fashion and fashion history, along with irreverence and comedy - and Space Groove is very much a love letter to all those things. The idea was initially sparked in my brain by Groovy Zilean, where I imagined what that thematic universe would look like if it was hyper-futuristic and still trying to keep all the fun. All in all, I have nothing to say but immense thanks to the team for believing in it and backing it up as hard as they did, everyone was so kind and they did an amazing job overall, so thank you team! <3
This image is ACTUALLY a fanart that I did of Thomas Randby's final lux concept which was based off my initial concept which was based off some early concepts of other characters by Nancy Kim. Concept art is fun like that.
Early Lux explorations! Was trying to hit on different levels of nostalgia while still keeping her feeling a bit modern. Final concept was done by Thomas Randby! (and he did an incredible job)
Samira early concepts, I wanted her to feel like the other side of the coin for Lux, she'd be more of the dangerous, no-nonsense part of the duo, but still feel like she could turn the party. Final concept was done by Rheekyo Lee (you rock RK!)
Early Concept for Nasus, he was actually in the original pitch, during our pitch discussion sessions this idea of a tiny dog piloting a Nasus shaped robot came up and it was so funny to me I couldn't not include it.
